To be honest my husband and I have always used
my soaps to shave with. All my soaps are gentle to the skin,
but every once in awhile I`ll get an email asking
"when are going to make a shaving soap"? Well after little thought
I came up with this coconut shea butter shaving soap recipe.
As a base oil coconut oil was added to create
a hard bar of soap also added
nourishing shea butter to add moisturizing qualities.
Coconut oil can cause the soap to set up/harden
fast so I tried to hurry when pouring.
As you can see by the above image the large cut
bars & soap poured into the shaving bowl came out
nice & smooth, but unfortunately I didn't pour fast
anough when I finally reached the tube mold.
Just around the edges of the cut thin round bars
resemble Moon Craters, but what a wonderful hard
gentle soap with a wonderful lather. I couldn't
help myself I had to try it! Very happy to say/type
it left my hands feeling soft & smooth.

Our Popular Ocean Point Maine Kelp Soap
I wanted something special to package the
beautiful bars in, so I decided to get the old iron out
and add my own (lighthouse) transfers to a bunch of muslin bags.
Pictured above on your left
the front of the bag reads "Ocean Point Kelp Soap"
bag on the right reads "A Gift From Maine".
The lighthouse design gives the muslin bags
a real old fashioned look.

White Grapefruit Lemon Floating Soap
made with pure coconut, palm, sweet almond,
and soybean oil, large amount of skin moisturizing
shea butter, and white grapefruit & lemon essential oil.
The whipped soap creates a wonderful white moisturizing loofah,
circular soap bars, and pure white soap balls that resemble
"snow balls" and they float! I had a little soap left over,
so I poured the remaining soap into the circular foam
w/rope bath sponges.

Tussah silk is created by Tussah caterpillars in the wild
